Conan Exiles DLCs - All Expansion Features & What's Best (2024)

Conan Exiles is one of the few survival games that have released so many DLCs, but hopefully almost all of them are strictly cosmetic, so if you are unsure which ones you need for a complete experience, read on! This list aims to help you figure out quickly what each DLC offers, and whether it’s something you value or not.

So far there are 10 Content Packs available, adding several new items to the game, and all of them containing several beautiful gear & building pieces, but you certainly don’t need any of them in order to enjoy everything the game has to offer.

There is only one full expansion so far, the Isle of Siptah, which is a totally new map that adds several mechanics, items and resources, and in general a quite fresh experience to the Conan Exiles world. It’s definitely a must-buy if you’ve played the game a ton, but I heavily suggest you skip it if you are starting out.

The original Exiled Lands map is far bigger and richer in content, and the one most servers use online. Sorry for expanding too much on this, I’ve had several friends worried about which DLCs to buy, but you really don’t need any, especially as a new player!

Table of Contents

Isle of Siptah (September 2020)

Isle of Siptah, Conan Exiles Expansion

Release Date: September 15, 2020

Buy Isle of Siptah from Steam for 19.99$ / 19.99€ / 17.99£, Save 20% on HumbleBundle as a member, or try for cheaper in G2A.

Isle of Siptah is the only “real” expansion in Conan Exiles so far, meaning that it adds new content and not just reskins and cosmetics. A brand new map is added that focuses more on PvP gameplay, with new biomes, enemies and mechanics that will definitely offer a fresh experience to the veteran barbarians!

The Siptah map has been receiving new content and updates constantly, with the most recent one in update 2.4 (released on testlive April 7, 2021) adding 3 new biomes to the map, while also tons of NPC camps and new NPC factions have been added, as well as the ability to release prisoner thralls under your command.

  • 15 Armor Pieces
    • Slaveforged Ceremonial (Light Set) – +5 Vitality
    • Slaveforged Sacrificial (Medium Set) – +5 Strength
    • Slaveforged Guardian (Heavy Set) – +5 Grit

Architects of Argos (May 2020)

Release Date: May 7, 2020

Buy Architects of Argos from Steam for 9.99$ / 9.99€ / 8.99£, Save 20% on HumbleBundle as a member, or try for cheaper in G2A.

Architects of Argos is a cosmetic DLC that’s inspired by Ancient Greece, and provides some amazing combinations with the Jewel of the West pack – if the Greco-Roman architecture is your thing!

Most notably you will find some unique building pieces that are rarely seen in Conan Exiles, like inverted slope roof corners, vaulted ceilings, and multi-part pillars! The placeables are created through the unique Argossean Artisan Table, and include flags, statues, carpets, tables, and even 2 different fountains that you can drink from (same recipe and stats with the regular Well)!

  • 49 Building Pieces
  • 19 Placeables
  • 3 Mount Saddles
  • 15 Armor Pieces
    • Argossean Mariner (Light Set) – +5 Strength

Riders of Hyboria (December 2019)

Riders of Hyboria, Conan Exiles DLC

Release Date: December 5, 2019

Buy Riders of Hyboria from Steam for 9.99$ / 9.99€ / 8.99£, Save 20% on HumbleBundle as a member, or try for cheaper in G2A.

Riders of Hyboria focuses on horses, and providing them with a better home! There are a lot of unique Stable-inspired building pieces & decorations, that will let you build a proper “open” design, that can still be secure.

The saddle variety is not bad, but we would definitely expect more in terms of horse skins! The ability to make your horse either white or black though is quite cool on its own, and a long-awaited feature by Exiles! The gear variety is great, so all in all one of the best DLC purchases you can make – unless you’re not into horses!

  • 2 Mount Skins
  • 6 Mount Saddles
  • 15 Armor Pieces

Debaucheries of Derketo (October 2019)

Debaucheries of Derketo, Conan Exiles DLC

Release Date: October 8, 2019

Buy Debaucheries of Derketo from Steam for 9.99$ / 9.99€ / 8.99£, Save 20% on HumbleBundle as a member, or try for cheaper in G2A.

Debaucheries of Derketo is one of the most negatively criticized DLCs, since it offers little to nothing to honor its title, and its overall contents are a bit underwhelming compared to the rest of cosmetic DLCs. The main selling point is the ability to place rope bridges of various sizes, and connect buildings in mid-air. There’s also a unique Tree Foundation piece, that is sadly way less flexible than placing any original foundation on a tree, making it viable only in PvE or creative builds.

On the bright side, there’s a nice variety of outfits, jewelry, warpaints and emotes, that roleplayers will appreciate more than PvP Survival fans. There are also quite a few placeables that will let you create a nice inn / tavern to roleplay at, but sadly – again – the variety is not too great, and there’s a big aftertaste of rushed work in Debaucheries of Derketo.

  • 10 Building Pieces
  • 29 Placeables
  • 12 Emotes
  • 10 Armor Pieces
    • Dark Templar (Heavy Set) – +5 Agility
    • Guardian (Heavy Set) – +5 Strength
  • 10 Outfit Pieces
  • 10 Jewelry Pieces
  • 6 Warpaints

Blood And Sand (September 2019)

Blood And Sand, Conan Exiles DLC

Release Date: September 3, 2019

Buy Blood And Sand from Steam for 9.99$ / 9.99€ / 8.99£, Save 20% on HumbleBundle as a member, or try for cheaper in G2A.

Blood And Sand focuses heavily on the combat aspect of the game, offering an Arena-themed set of building pieces, that also includes some unique vaulted ceilings (only found in Architects of Argos or Isle of Siptah), and a big amount of weapon skins and new weapons, as well as 3 armor sets and 15 different war banners to decorate your Castle accordingly!

Even though the variety is not too great in numbers, even builders will find a lot of value in this DLC, since the whole Castle / Arena theme fits the world of Conan Exiles perfectly, and allows for endless creative options, like underground dungeons, prisons and epic vault rooms!

  • 29 Building Pieces
  • 15 War Banner Placeables
  • 15 Armor Pieces
    • Assassin (Light Set) – +3 Accuracy / +2 Strength
    • Bear Shaman (Medium Set) – +3 Strength / +2 Vitality
    • Barbarian (Heavy Set) – +3 Vitality / +2 Grit
  • 19 Weapons
    • Bloodletter Sword, Bloodletter Mace, Bloodletter War-Axe, Bloodletter Short Sword, Twin-Bladed Short Sword, Curved Short Sword, Spiked Short Sword, Hooked Short Sword, Bloodletter Shield, Bloodletter Hammer, Bloodletter Two-Handed Sword, Bloodletter Pike, Bloodletter Great Axe, Jagged Great Axe, Reaver’s Great Axe, Barbaric Great Axe, Great Axe of the North, Bloodletter Poniards, Bloodletter Bow

The Riddle of Steel (May 2019)

The Riddle of Steel, Conan Exiles DLC

Release Date: May 9, 2019

Buy The Riddle of Steel from Steam for 9.99$ / 9.99€ / 8.99£, Save 20% on HumbleBundle as a member, or try for cheaper in G2A.

The Riddle of Steel is the smallest Conan DLC in both size and price, as it’s mostly meant to celebrate Conan’s lore and history, by offering a big amount of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Conan statues, as well as other famous characters from the movie Conan the Barbarian, like Valeria and Subotai.

There are also 3 warpaints from iconic scenes in the movie, 5 unique helmets like Thulsa Doom’s and Rexor’s, as well as 5 unique placeables like the Atlantean Throne. All in all, if you are a fan of the movie you know the answer to this, otherwise you would enjoy this DLC only if you are mostly into the building aspect of the game, since there are many epic placeables in here!

  • 35 Placeables
  • 5 Helmets
  • 3 Warpaints

Treasures of Turan (April 2019)

Treasures of Turan, Conan Exiles DLC

Release Date: April 15, 2019

Buy Treasures of Turan from Steam for 9.99$ / 9.99€ / 8.99£, Save 20% on HumbleBundle as a member, or try for cheaper in G2A.

Treasures of Turan adds a big Middle-eastern influence to Conan Exiles, that arguably fits the Desert biome… like a glove! From epic Arabic palaces to luxurious placeables and appropriate gear, there’s definitely a lot of immersion added to the game through this Content Pack.

What’s more, you can unlock the Caravan skin for Elephants and Rhinos, and turn them to loot carriers, unlocking some additional ways to play the game and optimize your character’s build!

Buy Seekers of the Dawn from Steam for 9.99$ / 9.99€ / 8.99£, Save 20% on HumbleBundle as a member, or try for cheaper in G2A.

Seekers of the Dawn adds the popular Yamatai building & armor style in the game, drawing inspiration from Japanese warriors and structures, bringing even more cultural variation to the Exiled Lands!

The popular Katana weapon is also added through this DLC, along with 5 different animal skins, and 5 warpaints. A purely cosmetic expansion, you should only get this one if you are drawn to the aesthetics.

  • 39 Building Pieces
  • 5 Animal Skins
  • 15 Armor Pieces
    • Yamatai Footsoldier (Light Set) – +5 Agility
    • Yamatai Demon (Medium Set) – +5 Encumbrance
    • Yamatai Warlord (Heavy Set) – +5 Vitality

Release Date: October 9, 2018

Buy The Savage Frontier from Steam for 9.99$ / 9.99€ / 8.99£, Save 20% on HumbleBundle as a member, or try for cheaper in G2A.

The Savage Frontier introduces some much needed… savagery into Conan Exiles, with imposing spiked structures that will scare off your opponents, the unique Pictish armor and weapons, as well as appropriate animal skins and warpaints.

What seemed as the least interesting Conan DLC for me, ended up being my favourite building style!

  • 39 Building Pieces
  • 5 Animal Skins
  • 15 Armor Pieces
    • Pictish Wizard (Light Set) – +5 Accuracy
    • Pictish Brave (Medium Set) – +5 Survival

Buy Jewel of the West from Steam for 9.99$ / 9.99€ / 8.99£, Save 20% on HumbleBundle as a member, or try for cheaper in G2A.

Jewel of the West draws clear inspiration from the Roman culture, with structures, placeables, gear, and warpaints that will let you traverse the Exiled Lands as a true legionnaire!

If marble and elegance is your thing, then you don’t want to miss out on this one! It’s also a perfect match with the most recent Architects of Argos DLC, since Ancient Greece & Rome shared many aesthetic similarities.

  • 39 Building Pieces
  • 25 Placeables

    • Aquilonian Scout (Light Set) – +5 Agility
    • Aquilonian Infantry (Medium Set) – +5 Vitality

The Imperial East is the first Conan DLC that ever came out, and introduced the popular “cosmetic recipe” that made all the rest of the expansions so successful. The Khitan structures, placeables, and gears are extremely appropriate to the desert biome, as well as the rest of the Exiled Lands.
